- Extra excursions ashore. Participation is not mandatory.
The sailing voyage begins and ends in Scotland. You are responsible for arranging your own travel to Scotland. This is NOT included in the price.

Outline of a travel itinerary
Ahoy adventurers!
Prepare for an epic Hebrides sailing journey from Ullapool to Scrabster, from September 13th to 20th, 2025!We kick off our voyage with a warm welcome aboard Thalassa in Ullapool on Saturday, September 13th at 4:00 PM. From there, we set sail for the enchanting Tarbert on Harris, where we can revel in 50 nautical miles of stunning views and sea adventure.Tarbert is a picturesque village located on the island of Harris, part of Scotland's Outer Hebrides. It is famously known for its beautiful landscapes and traditional distilleries and world-renowned Scottish wool.
The plan is to take a short walk to the other side of the island. There we will have stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. We then continue our journey to Stornoway on Lewis. A day of exploration awaits. Stornoway is the largest town on the island of Lewis, Harris is offering a blend of historical sights, modern amenities and vibrant culture. In Stornoway we can take a walk around the castle grounds.
From Stornoway we sail in the evening to the Orkney Islands where we'll arrive at Scapa Bay after a more extensive sailing journey or, in case of adverse currents, we sail to Stromness.
The Orkney Islands are an archipelago of approximately 70 islands located off the northeast coast of Scotland. They're known for their rich archaeological heritage, stunning landscapes and excellent sailing conditions.
From Scapa Bay we can take a walk through the historic centre of Kirkwall, the capital of the Orkneys. You can also visit the Highland Park or Scapa distilleries. Both are renowned for their high quality and rich history. In the evening we sail a short distance to Stromness. In the evening there will be time to explore the cosy town.
During the day on Friday there is a cycle ride to the remains of the prehistoric village of Scara Brae and the stone circle of Stenness. You can also opt for a 9km walk around Stromness and Warbeth.
In the afternoon it's time to arrive at our destination: Scrabster.
On Friday it's time to reach our final destination: Scrabster. We'll make another short crossing before arriving at this beautiful harbour. Scrabster is a harbour town on the north coast of Scotland in the Caithness region. It offers stunning views of the rugged coastline and the nearby Orkney Islands as well as excellent fishing and historic sights.
We have the pleasure of having Gerard Spaans, a hiking and Scotland guide, on board. Gerard will organise the walks and various excursions and will guide us as we explore the wonderful places we encounter along the way.
