Come aboard for a short sailing cruise from Esbjerg-Bremerhaven, a multi-faceted voyage where festivities and rest are alternated.
Upon arrival, enjoy an impressive nautical event in Esbjerg (Sail Training International Races) where a fleet of historic sailing ships, including Thalassa, can be admired. Esbjerg is a beautiful town where the port, university and many museums attract many visitors.
The trip:
Leaving behind the famous artwork 'Mennesket ved Havet' (Men meeting the Sea), we set sail for Helgoland. A delightful sailing trip where a host of sea birds and sea creatures will accompany you from the air and water. The German island of Helgoland is a mecca of tranquillity where no cars or even bicycles are allowed. Here you can enjoy rugged coastlines with high cliffs and their typical flora and fauna ( including seals).
After Helgoland, the Wadden Sea and Cuxhaven are on Thalassa's sailing agenda. On arrival in Cuxhaven you will see from the ship the sea beacon "the Kugelbake", now a protected monument. On the spot in Cuxhaven, enjoy beautiful sandy beaches and walks along the coastline.
After Cuxhaven, Bremerhaven is the final destination of this voyage. In Bremerhaven, after our arrival, the nautical spectacle Sail Bremerhaven (13-17 August 2025) begins, an event organised only every 5 years. Our guests will leave the ship on 13 August 2025 no later than 07.30 in the morning with another day possibly spent enjoying all the festivities on site.
