The sailing voyage begins and ends in Scotland. You are responsible for arranging your own travel to Scotland. This is NOT included in the price. More information and booking: Tallshipthalassa.nl/en. ProgramThis trip is an excellent opportunity. A unique sailing trip starting from the beautiful port town of Oban with its rich history. We will be carried along the rugged coasts of the various Scottish islands and peninsulas. Depending on the wind and tide we will for example see Mull, Ardnamurchan, Skye and Rum. The history of the Hebrides goes back millions of years. Since then, time has marked the landscape. Its history can be, among other things, seen in lava formations, local vegetation and buildings. When the wind permits, we aim to sail a little more. This allows guests to enjoy the surroundings to the optimum. We are regularly accompanied by dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, various seabirds and sometimes even whales following the ship! Those who want to roll up their sleeves help the crew with the sails. Once ashore, there is a choice of a nice walk or a visit to one of the various local Scottish attractions. Sightseeing by taxi is also possible: local taxi drivers are happy to show visitors all the ins and outs of the area. This sometimes creates memorable moments. In short: this trip offers a nice balance between all that this Scottish region can offer with plenty of room for our guests' personal interpretation. Our guide on board is happy to help you along the way, he is well-versed in Scotland's history and provides expert advice on where our guests can go for local walks or visit castles and other historical sites. During the evenings on board, experiences can be shared and plans for the next day are made, meanwhile enjoying a delicious drink from our well-stocked (whisky) bar. At the end of the week we disembark in Oban. With the experiences gained on board Thalassa, it may be possible to linger here a little longer. Oban is perfect for a few extra days' holiday, to stroll along the promenade, enjoy a tasting at the local Oban distillery or visit one of the museums. NB for all parts of this programme: wind and weather permitting. Group travel in 2025The contours of our cruises in 2025 are becoming more and more clear.
