Are you curious about the cuisine during a sailing trip aboard the tall ship Thalassa? The meals and snacks on board are prepared by a professional chef and their assistant.
During a journey aboard Thalassa, three meals a day are prepared along with a small snack in the afternoon. Let yourself be welcomed with an extensive breakfast and lunch buffet, and indulge in a fresh two-course dinner. While you enjoy the journey, dinner is prepared, supplemented daily with a starter or dessert. Good food and adventurous travel go hand in hand on board.
Characteristic of Thalassa’s cuisine is its healthy, fresh food, made with artisanal products. The ship is supplied with organic meat from a local butcher, and we use fresh ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, and herbs. And with a bit of luck, a freshly caught fish dish, straight from the deck.
The Bar
Enjoying a drink of your choice in a Burgundian style is best done at the whisky bar. The bar is equipped with a wide selection of single malts. In addition, we offer specially aged whisky and rum from “Dam Dranken”, specifically stored on the ship. On tap, we have Martinus Lager and Jotner craft beer, both from Groningen, Netherlands. Furthermore, we naturally serve red and white wine, as well as soft drinks, coffee, and tea.
