Events 2024 & 2025
Besides the annual week-long voyages around the UK and the six-monthly school trip with School at Sea to the Caribbean, Tallship Thalassa makes time for major (inter)national nautical events.
Annual events in Germany include Kieler Woche, Hafengeburtstag Hamburg and Hansesail in Rostock. At major events (every four to five years) such as Armada du Siècle (Rouen, France) and Fêtes Maritimes internationales (Brest, France), Thalassa was also repeatedly present. In our own country, Thalassa could be seen at Sail Amsterdam, Sail Harlingen and DelfSail. Where possible, Thalassa always looks for space in her sailing schedule to participate in one or more stages of the Tall Ship Races organised by Sail Training International, an organisation that promotes sailing for and with young people.
Thalassa will call at a number of events in 2024/2025: Fèis Ìle (Islay Whisky Festival), Brest Nautiques Festival, Southampton Boat show, Sail Amsterdam.
